Since some days there is a new banner from google, a goolge bar.
This would be no problem if it would not advertising porn and gay site !!
My homepage is about school children and I find not good at all this kind of adverising on a children site!
Is it possible to change this mantaining a free site ? I can live with banner and small bars but not if they advertise some king of adult site !

Thanks for your answer

best regards

Gian Carlo

We have explained several times here in the forum that the ads are contextual. We cannot edit them or restrict any kind of ads.

100WS did make their own banner.
It advertised themselves.
Therefore, it attracted customers to their own site, earning them money.

Google Adwords does not display porn site adverts, if it did it would only display ones that are relevant to your sites content !

Dear Karl
My site don't have nothing to do with porn !!!! It is about children and school. It is written in italian language and there is not a single word that have something to do with porn! Parents of children that go to school look my site! and is not pretty good to see som kind of advertising on it! I don't know how google Adwords put this kind of advertising. If is not possible to change it I will search another hosting provider that doesn't allow to put porn advertising on the site!

Best regards

Gian Carlo

Hi,

The google media bot will crawl your site and read the site info, it will then show ads that are relevent to the sites content.

The only time psa's or wrong ads are shown is when the site is new or hasnt been crawled by the media bot.

I've ran adwords on several sites and I have never had anything like sex, viagra etc displayed.

Regards

Karl

Hi Karl
take a look at this page of my site and tell me where you find something that could tell google to put porn advetising!

http://www.agcbreganzona.ch/le%20nostre ... 2005_2.htm

Sometimes you get not this kind of porn advetising at the first time but if you refresh the page 2 or 3 times you get it for shure!

Berst regards

Gian Carlo

Hi Hubi
go to this link, I've put a pdf of my page with this kind of ad's

http://www.agcbreganzona.ch/Manifestazioni.pdf

and this is the reply of google

Hello Gian,

Thank you for your email.

The ads that you are referring to and the 'Ads by Google' link on which
you clicked are being generated through the Google AdSense program, which
delivers relevant Google ads to content pages. Currently, the site you've
referenced has an account with AdSense and has chosen to display targeted
ads on certain pages within their site.

If you have any questions or comments regarding the website or the ad
placement, please contact the website in question directly.

Sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team

I don't understand very mutch what they are meaning!
Do you?
I have to contact the website in question ... but I'am the webmaster!!!
Do I have to contact 100WebSpace ? I did it .....

the second reply of AdSense

Hello Gian,

Thanks for your reply.

I understand that www.agcbreganzona.ch is your site. However, as
previously noted, www.100webspace.com has an account with AdSense and has
chosen to display Google ads on pages within their site.

If you have any questions or comments regarding the the ad placement,
please contact www.100webspace.com directly.

We appreciate your understanding.

Sincerely,

Molly
The Google AdSense Team

The only think that I want to say to the 100webspacestaff :
if no adult content is allowed in the web pages PLEASE don't put (or don't allow that someone put ) adult ad's in the banner

thanks

Best regards
