The site as been up for over 1 year (and so on) so im guessing 100webspace.com will last forever until the owner sells it for a good price to someone else which i doubt will never happen

It is quite logical... it takes a lot of time and money to make a service popular, once you make it popular you don't want to lose this popularity... closing it would mean exactly taht, loosing everything you have achieved.

Greetings,

Yes I totally agree. but see, with The Tech Base I mostly use it for a learning experience (for my web development programming) and also for a computer support and web development help at the same time.

I know if I was to loose it, I would definetly cry  :D I have spent hours and hours on programming and etc.

i think 100ws will last a long time but it will constantly keep a new flow of customers. this being ok for them i guess, but i've been around for longer than a lot of the new people and i remember when this service didnt have all the limitations it has now, and those obnoxious ads, which has caused me to pretty much neglect my site and lose most of my visitors because i cant use this my site to promote my music anymore because 500kb files dont really do me any good so i've been forced out. now i just have a page with a nice little forum that nobody bothers to use because there is no other point to the site. so yea, it might last forever but as long as the free service continues to become more limited people like me will have to move on. sorry but i wont give them the satisfaction of paying because i signed up for AD free service and no filesize limit, so whyshould they be able to back me up into a corner.

I had an account at coolinc.info until it just vanished for ever last year (server crash). Now my account at allhyper.com is down because of DDoS attacks. System admins, maybe this book can help:

I think at some point the FREE plan will be discontinued, like it happened to FREEYELLOW.COM, which exist for 5+ years and used to be free.

Keeping a free service like ours running is tough. But this just makes it more interesting for us :) We have many ideas that will help us keep the service free. It will last.

If it was going to shut down, would we get a warning and/or refund ?
