PHP 5 has been out for over 2 1/2 years. The servers are still running 4.3.4. Any chance this is going to be upgraded? Soon? At all?

I cannot be 100%, you'll have to wait and get it confirmed by the support team but I think we are staying with 4, there was a reason for it which was mentioned before but I cant seem to remember it. Rolling Eyes

Because of the vastly inferior OOP engine in PHP4? Everyone loves that thing...

I thought you'd mentioned you could use .php5 files in another thread, did I imagine that?

The reason I expect they would cite is that the upgrade to PHP5 by-default might break some users' websites, but well, if you're squemish about doing it with this upgrade... I dread to think how long it will be before we see PHP6 - that's going to break a hell of a lot more.

Actually we have PHP5 exerimentaly installed on some of our server, please try to run some php5 scripts but rename the .php to .php5
