Hey,

Before I sign up I wanted to ask somem questions about .htaccess. I understand how to set it up and all, but I want to know... When I set it up, WILL IT BE SECURE so that no one can hack past it!

Thanks,
Zeke

hello ,

I will asure you that it will be secure. Just don't give up your password to people you don't know. if you follow that rule; you will be fine.

Everytime I upload my .htaccess it blocks my site out completely...

with a 500, misconfiguration error, any reason as to why an .htaccess file would completely block out my site.

my buddy runs the same .htaccess on his site and it works fine, so I know its coded right

There are some directives that we have disabled, if you use any of them you will get an Internal Server Error 500.

If I remember right, it's been a while, but I think .htaccess files need to be uploaded in ascii format, if it's ftp'd in binary format you will get errors.
