Descrition: I created a photo blog to share my amature photography with friend's and family. I'm new at creating websites. I used JAbum to generate the actual photo album and then used Front Page to Edit. Tell me what you think, and let me know what I could be doing better. I'm just starting to understand Front Page and couldn't HTML my way out of paper bag if I had to.

Greetings,

Nice site, I suggest adding some more pictures and lightening up the site as a blog is suppose to be user friendly to everyone. Most "darkened" sites are for underground related and military related or some sort of video game clan. :D  Have you ever thought about WordPress?

Greetings,

WordPress is a type of pre-built Blog like phpBB Forums, but a blog instead. Search for it at Google. Its a great easy CMS / Blog. :D I recommend it. :D

It certainly looks cool. I browsed their site, but I couldn't find anything on photo blogs. do you think it would work well for such a blog?

sounds like a good idea. So what do you use a database for? I'm new at this incase you couldn't tell. Isn't that just to store info on a server rather than for a website?

"This whole forum is in a database..."

... Technically your incorrect Rm249. Some of the information for this forum is stored in the database. Some of it is Users, Configuration (SMTP, Title, etc.), posts, topics, actual boards like this one (Site Showcase, etc.) and more.

... Although, most of the important coding that is used to produce, alter, delete, and run the forum are used in ".php" files ...

... The output and design of the forum is produced by variables that are produced in the ".php" files and used in the ".tpl" files for certain things only. Most of the output like the tables and etc. are produced with HTML, XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

I thought I would give you a little heads up ...

Yeah I should have said all of that.... The database (in these forums at least) is where userdata, topics, usergroups, etc.. are stored... What actaully outputs the info are the PHP files :D

Greetings,

You still forgot something there, or your wrong Rm249 ... The information from the database, special global variables are created in the .php files. The actual "OUTPUT" and "DESIGN" are made by the .tpl files. :D

Greetings,

Yes I know. Sometimes we need to make the response quicker, but sometimes the response that is quick is not always right. :D
