Hello,

I've got phpbb setup and haven't had much problems. I am, however, having issues setting up the email functions for the forums.

can anybody walk me through this?

Are you on the Free plan? Free hosting plans do not have outgoing email.

Log in as admin, go to configuration, scroll down to the bottom and check your mail server settings.

that's what I futzed around with and couldn't find the right settings. what is the username? is that an the password the same as my web site admin? do i have to setup an email address and use that info?

basically a walk through for getting it to work. i've tried a few different things and have a feeling the answer is staring me in the face, but just can't figure it out.

Check the box, "Use local mail" and everything should work.

Otherwise, check "Use SMTP server"

And put theserveryouareon.com as the host.

Your username as the username, and your password as the password.
