I had a forum up and running and a few hours later my database seems to have been deleted, only I didn't do it! I haven't backed up the database yet.

How is this possible?

THis is the second time this is happenings...a week ago, the same thing happened and it was resolved later. But now it is happening again! Help!

Your database is still there it's just that theres too many people trying to connect to a database at the moment. Give your website about 30mins and it should all be resolved.

I don't think so,

THis happened to me a week ago as well... When i look in the webspace control panel at mysql databases...the database is gone as well...

If there would be too many connections, my database would still be there right?

kind regards,

jack

Yeah, your right but its giving the error
Quote:
Warning: mysql_connect(): Too many connections in /home/www/lcn.everywebhost.com/db/mysql4.php
Which means too many connections.

If your database was missing it would say "Cannot connect with user blah_blah to 100wotever.com" etc

THe database is back now and the support team answering the ticket I opened said:

Hello,

There is server problem. We work to solve it. Please excuse us for the inconvenience caused to you.

Anyways, thanks for your help... the database is back and the site is working again.

kind regards

Jack, I'm getting the same problem with mine...

I guess this is a server issue, and not necesarilly isolated to one site.

I'm having exactely the same problem with my site at http://warped.madpage.com
I'm getting an error message:

Code:
Warning: mysql_connect(): Can't connect to MySQL server on '70.85.132.34' (111) in /home/www/warped.madpage.com/db/mysql4.php on line 48

Warning: mysql_error(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/www/warped.madpage.com/db/mysql4.php on line 330

Warning: mysql_errno(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/www/warped.madpage.com/db/mysql4.php on line 331

phpBB : Critical Error

Could not connect to the database

But more troubling, I cannot see my database through the madpage.com Control Panel.

I've filled out a ticket but does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Thanks for your help.

Same here, can't get into phpadmin via the control panel for quite some time now. The database is back up, but no way to get in and back it up or anything.

The contol panel states I have one database in use but zero available. ???
