SELECT * FROM table WHERE created > '2005-12-09 00:00:00';"
will return dates with a +7 hour timezone offset.
EX.
-> 2005-12-09 07:31:04
but it won't return
-> 2005-12-09 06:31:04

I'm guessing this is because the mysql server is 7 hours away from the php server.

When using this php function:
date("Y-m-d H:i:s");
I get -> 2005-12-11 21:02:57

I'm in the Eastern Standard TimeZone and my time is
->2005-12-11 14:02:57
which is another 7 hour difference

I am having a great deal of trouble figuring this out even though all of the numbers are right in front of me. Can someone please help me and explain why I must add 7 hours to my time to sync with the php server and yet another 7 hours to sync with the mysql server?

Something seems wrong to me.

Are the mysql servers in fact 14 hours across the globe from me?

To answer yet another of my own questions (thanks for all your help guys)

everything is synced to UTC time which is different from GMT time... You know what they taught us in high school.

Gee... thanks jupiter777... you've saved me from having another massive migrane.

Hey no problem... I'm always there for ya.
