Wonder what software I need to re-create or do something similar for this image. It's copy-writed. Can't down load or copy it. It's the fading affect of the colors I would like to do. Can't afford photoshop or other expensive programs.

The file that you put in the IMG tag must be an image, it won't work with an html file. Also keep in mind that if you are on the free plan you won't be able to show the image because hotlinking is not allowed on the free hosting plans. Just post a link to the image instead.

How could I be trying to hotlink? I have an account with 100webspace. I have the personal account with the paid for no ads for a year. I'm obviously not doing something correctly but don't know what to change to get the image seen. Appreciate peoples help.

should work..

I don't know what free/cheap software packages are out there, which you can do this with.
But maybe you can try to get a tryout edition of photoshop or something similiar.

I think you got "Always allow BBCode" on 'no' in your profile.
