Ok what I have set up basically is an applet that when is loaded reads text from a file in the same web directory, displays the data and has the ability to add new data. When new data is added the applet adds the new data to the file. It works perfectly offline and the console with debug mode says its working online, but the new data isnt being added to the file. I set the permision of the file to 666...

Any ideas? If you want more info please ask :D

Thanks!

Try setting the permissions to 777.

I am having the exact same problem. A CGI script I am working with can write to a file without any problems, but cannot read from it whatsoever. I tried changing permissions to 777, but still no go.
