I'm playing around with the CGI scripts for a password login system as shown at this link :

http://www.cgi101.com/class/password/

But I only get Internel Server Errors when I modify .htaccess to suit as shown below :

Auth_MYSQL_DB usertable
Auth_MYSQL_Password_Table users
Auth_MySQL_Username_Field username
Auth_MYSQL_Password_Field password
Auth_MYSQL_Empty_Passwords Off
Auth_MYSQL_Group_Table users
Auth_MYSQL_Group_Field status
AuthName "Members-Only Area"
AuthType Basic

require group CURRENT

My question is : do we have the required Apache module installed to allow .htaccess to interface to the SQL database.

If the answer is yes - I will look further into why my script is not working.

Thanks
Luke
