Hello everyone, after reading this post http://forum.100webspace.com/viewtopic.php?t=1350 I decided to take it upon myself to create a nice frontend for the Backup script. After a few hours of work I came up with something nice.
To start using it on your website, download this ZIP file, install it to yourwebspace at a secure location http://www.yourwebsite.com/backup01. Then go to the location that you installed it and follow through the steps, when you get to the Destination Folder step, leave it alone, the /home/www/backups folder will be created automatically. After backing up your site, connect to your FTP and open the /backups folder, the file will be named like the following:
Example: You backup www.rm249.com, the filename will be www_rm249_com_date_time_stuff_here. Just download that file and you now have a backup of your website. If you are unable to extract the file, I recomend WinRAR from http://www.rarlab.com/.

The theme to the Backup Manager was from the ZIP Extractor Script located at http://forum.100webspace.com/viewtopic.php?t=2276.

The author of that template is http://www.christoffer.demon.nl/ as stated in the Footer of the backup manager.

Just tried it out and it looks and works very nicely, one question, will it also work on free plans with the 500k filesize limit?

Thanks for the tips about the template file, I didnt do that, I just used the original template from the ZIP Extractor Script and just added my own information, I guess it would have made sense to do includes for each step, I just never thought of that ;) And about the actual backup function, I took it from the script located at http://forum.100webspace.com/viewtopic.php?t=1350 and just created a frontend to it. And also about the CHMOD, the instructions from the original script said to chmod() the destination directory to 777 which I did make it attempt to do on line 146. Maybe later today if I am not too busy, I will try to work out some bugs and optimize the code.

@bobg: Not sure, the file is generated from the server, so depending on whether or not the server checks file sizes when the file is uploaded, or actively in the users files, it may or may not work. If anyone here on a free plan would like to test this out for us, I would appreciate it.

In Step 1:

the links I assume would be so you could go into a specific folder and only backup a folder inside it. Unfortunately the links link to:

http://area51

instead of the actuall folder.

I never incorporated any folder browsing, the links are there assuming that the default 100 web space directory structure is present, example: /home/www/YOURDOMAIN.COM/ so when it lists the folders, it will link to http://yourdomain.com/

I registered a test free account and it looks like this does not work on free accounts, maybe if one of the support could request to the admins that the /home/www/backups/ directory be excluded from the max filesize rule?

Yes, I was thinking the same thing... Maybe the 100 Web Space programmers could use this and incorporate it into the Control Panel somehow if they want :P (I highly doughbt this, but hey, you never know)
