Hello i buy a hosting in freelinuxhost.com and install mambo, the problem is when the users do the registration they dont receive the mail with the password from the administrator.....

I have activated the options in the panel control of Mambo, but still dont work, ---- i have installed the mambo in lycos and in there can registrate... the users receive a mail from "Administrator" <caamedicina@lycos.es>

Greetings,

Do you have a free or paid hosting account? Because on freelinuxhost.com is a free server. Did you upgrade or something?

Moved to Forums, CMS, Blogs

ok i got mambo to work with smtp so it should be possible, i am using a mambo-smf login and put the smtp details in smf and mambo just to be sure :)

I created an email account for mambo and a password

then it was i set that as the smtp user and smtp password and who the mail was from

well I got it to work not the original poster, and i guess i would prefer sendmail to work as opposed to smtp.

i suppose i could take a screen shot of the mambo config page and blurr the pwd if its needed
