Hi everyone, I'm kinda newb here so I need your help. A friend help me set up word press using 5gigs as a host. But I felt they were too unrealiable and I found freelinuxhost for my persoanl blog. Now I registered, and I have access to the ftp.

But what do I do to get my blog working again?. I copied all the files from my old host and just tried to upload them in the new ftp. But it doesn't work, I feel like I'm missing something. Any help here is appreciated! :(

Just a guess, does the blog use a mySQL database? If so, you may need to look for some configuration files that need to be pointed to the new database.

this problem is a bit different, but the same goal (installing Wordpress).

I configured my "config" file, uploaded it to my freeserver (mybesthost.com) and the next step is for me to access the "install.php" file via my webbrowser. I'm positive I have the correct directory (sub directory being /www/) but I am getting a message in my web browser that I don't have permission to access this file.

How can I get permission?

Upload all files in the /www/{YOUR SUBDOMAIN}/ directory, that path reflects the root of your subdomain.
