HI im new here and i have a really dumb question i have uploaded phpbb zip file but how do i unzip it plz some plz help

delete the file you have uploaded

unzip de file on your computer, then upload the unzipped version

If your on dial-up it will take some time, if your on broadband (dsl, cable) it will only be a few minutes.

Only if he has a bad dialup provider on a bad 56k dialup. My 56k dialup doesn't take very long to upload.

Do you mean it will take forever because you upload 1 file at a time via your web ftp in your control panel? Well download a free FTP Client like FileZilla :wink:

Actually, the first 3 forums I've created, I uploaded each file 5 at a time. It took a while to do it but I did it.

It would be nice (HINT, HINT) to be able to upload folders/directories from the control panel.

But then I also think there should be a backup utility in the control panel to. 8)
